Changes Taking Place at Magic Kingdom’s Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

As we inch closer toward the 50th anniversary of WDW in 2021, there are a lot of construction projects taking place across Disney property. Among these projects is an update of Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland.

Upon entering the queue for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin last night, the updates taking place in this attraction were very evident. Gone were many of the permanent metal railings that guide park guests through the queue. The railings that have been removed have been replaced by temporary ropes that lead guests a long a very different path than what was in place in the past.

The loading area for the attraction remains the same, as of now, but there will be several more changes taking place very soon. According to a cast member, the queue will look very different “in a few days”, and then even more changes will take place after that, as the attraction receives some much-needed updates.

As of the time of writing this, the attraction itself remains the same, but time will tell if any changes are made to the ride.

Upon unloading, the gift shop that guests pass through as they exit the attraction has also undergone a few changes and has been re-arranged, allowing more room, as this space tends to get crowded during busier times.

We will keep you updated as more changes take place and as more information becomes available.
